Recent Perimeter Lighting Project:
In response to recent incidents of intrusion onto airport runways, security officials at a major regional airport specified and installed the award-winning CAST LED Perimeter Fence Lighting System. The system was installed to improve detection and identification of intruders. While the previous security system was able to detect intrusion, there was insufficient illumination for cameras and patrols to accurately identify the intruders.
The CAST system with its unique configuration of mounting on the fence itself, was the only system that was cost-effective and suitable for aviation safety. Over one mile of perimeter fencing was illuminated. Other airports and similar properties with high-security needs are currently being specified with the CAST Perimeter System. |
